Christine Hernandez

Hello, my name is Christine Hernandez. It is such an honor to fulfill my calling in life to collaborate with you towards emotional healing and growth! My passion has always been to empower people towards wholeness and healing. Outside of the clinical setting, I have over ten years of experience working with women who have experienced trauma, childhood abuse, burnout, anxiety, shame, and broken attachments.

Using reparenting inner child strategies, cognitive reframing, and inner healing work, I have seen lives and relationships transformed. Another passion of mine is to work with individuals who have experienced church hurt and/or religious trauma. I am currently pursuing a certification in religious trauma to further my understanding of adverse religious experiences. What you will discover while joining me in your journey is a highly empathic and authentic person who, like you, knows what it's like to be on the other side of the session. It's a privilege to be a support system in your time of need.

Masters of Social Work, Registered Clinical Social Work Intern

Hello, my name is Mia, and I am a registered clinical social work intern. I graduated with my master's in social work-advanced clinical practice, from Saint Leo University in 2023. I also completed my bachelor’s degree in clinical/counseling psychology with an art minor. I began my career working at Saint Leo in their Accessibility Services department, supporting and coaching students with disabilities. I worked with students who had diagnoses such as anxiety, autism, and ADHD. I also led the Autism Connect program which provides individualized mentorship and advocacy for students with autism. Additionally, I have experience with clients with chronic illnesses. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, playing tennis, and spending time with family and friends. I am also a painter and musician and believe that art and creative expression can be healing, and even a part of our sessions if requested.

My approach to therapy is client-centered and will depend on the client’s needs and goals. Some of the modalities that I use are cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy. Together we can look at the problems you are experiencing in a new way and give you tools to work through them. It is also very important to me to connect with my clients and create a safe space for them. I look forward to accompanying you on your healing journey!
